TheChartEdge focuses on price action and market structure to cut through that noise.

I’m Marcus Grant, CFTe. I look at charts across US and international equities, currencies, commodities, and crypto. I use moving averages, anchored VWAPs, ratio charts, credit spreads, and other tools to build a picture of where capital is flowing and whether the underlying trends are healthy or deteriorating.

I try to connect the dots across asset classes, because markets don't move in isolation. What's happening in the US$, credit, or international equities often signals where things are heading before the headline indices catch up.

I don’t have a crystal ball and I don’t pretend to. What I do is lay out the evidence as I see it, present possible scenarios, and share how I’m thinking about risk and reward. When I take trades - and I do actually trade - I share the specific levels, the stop losses, and the reasoning. If I’m wrong, I’ll say so.

I trade and invest from Australia, so I see the US market from a bit of a different angle. I manage both a longer-term portfolio and shorter-term swing trades, and the approach is different for each. But the common thread is always: follow price, manage risk, and stay open-minded.

I also write educational posts about technical analysis - the tools, the concepts, and how I actually use them. Whether you’re an experienced trader or just getting started, I try to make it practical and accessible.
